What To Expect With Your New Glass And/Or Door

DECORATIVE GLASS – Due to the nature of hand-made art glass, variations in colors or textures (glass and/or lead caming) are not considered defects, they are part of the individual beauty of the product. Leaded glass may experience some slight rattling due to the individual pieces of cut glass and is considered normal.

DESIGNER SHOWERS – Scratches occurred after installation are not covered under warranty. Due to the nature of frameless showers, there must be clearances/gaps between the glass panels which may allow for some minor water seepage. Gaps and water seepage will vary by product type and shower head placement. Our professional installation team will take great care when drilling holes in existing tile/stone, however cracks or breaks may occur due to factors out of our hands, including but not limited to improper setting of tiles as well as natural variations in stone. Any tile or stone replacements due to these types of issues will be the customer’s responsibility. Please note, we cannot drill into glass tiles due to their fragile nature.  When removing an existing shower, we will use our best efforts to clean and fill holes left behind after removal but cannot guarantee they will not be visible or that there will not be unforeseen damage to the tile underneath.

SCRATCHES & INCLUSIONS – No piece of glass will ever be perfect. Scratches and inclusions are considered within industry standards if they cannot be seen from 8 ft away or more and with normal lighting (excludes intense, direct sunlight). This includes insulated glass units.

EXISTING STRUCTURES – Our professional installation team will install your glass and/or doors with the utmost care and quality, however we cannot be held responsible for any hidden or concealed defects and/or issues in a customer’s existing structure. Any additional work or materials required for unforeseen issues due to the existing structure may result in additional cost to the customer. Touchup painting, drywall, or stucco repair is the customer’s responsibility. Glass Design does not install blinds, plantation shutters, curtains, or hardware provided by others.

FINAL MEASUREMENTS – When we come out to take a final field measurement, it is critical that the space we are measuring is completed and in its final state. If changes are made after measurement and we are not able to complete the installation, any additional cost involved to modify or remake any materials will be the customer’s responsibility. If we have to make any additional field measure appointments due to the space not being ready for final measure, there will be an additional trip fee.

HOA APPROVAL – Any approvals needed from the Client’s homeowner’s association is the responsibiity of the homeowner. Glass Design cannot be held responsible for any purchased materials that may be denied by any HOA. As soon as contract is signed, deposit is recieved, and any necessary field measures are taken, Glass Design will move forward with ordering materials, unless homeowner specifically states in writing that they are waiting for HOA approval.
