Many people add glass to their doors for additional light. It can really open up the entryway to your home. It is also one of the very few things you will do to your home that you can enjoy from the outside AND the inside of your home. Many clients only think about the additional street appeal … however, you normally spend most of your time inside your house, and a beautiful decorative glass will become a huge focal point for your interior design!

We offer a variety of decorative glass styles, including leaded & stained glass, frosted, textured, etched, carved, beveled, and wrought iron designs. Our team will guide you through the available options to match your home’s aesthetic.
Fiberglass doors are durable, low-maintenance, and can mimic the appearance of wood at a lower price point. Wrought iron doors offer a more luxurious, elegant appearance and feel with optional customizable grilles and enhanced security features.
Yes, we have many products and options to mix and match materials.
The cost of iron doors varies based on multiple factors, including design complexity, size, material quality, hardware selections, glass type, and installation requirements. Custom-designed doors typically cost more than standard models due to the craftsmanship and unique detailing involved. Additionally, wrought iron doors can be finished with custom coatings and glass options that affect the price.

Wrought iron is a durable and malleable type of iron known for its low carbon content and ability to be shaped without breaking. Unlike cast iron, which is brittle and made by pouring molten iron into molds, wrought iron is hand-forged, allowing for intricate detailing and superior strength.
Wrought iron is commonly used in decorative architectural elements, including doors, gates, railings, and furniture. Its fibrous texture and resistance to corrosion make it an ideal material for custom iron doors.
While both iron and steel are commonly used in construction and manufacturing, they have distinct differences:
Iron: A natural element found in the Earth’s crust, iron is used in various forms, including wrought iron and cast iron.
Steel: An alloy made from iron and carbon, steel is stronger, denser, and more resistant to impact and stress.
Wrought iron is often preferred for decorative applications due to its flexibility and timeless appeal, whereas steel is commonly used for industrial and structural purposes.
Wrought iron doors are highly durable and resistant to weather elements, but they do require periodic maintenance to preserve their appearance and structural integrity. Factors such as humidity, exposure to salt air (especially in coastal regions), and general wear and tear can contribute to oxidation or rust over time.
To ensure longevity, we recommend:
Cleaning your door regularly with a soft cloth and mild soap (see our cleaning guide below).
Applying protective coatings or wax to prevent rust.
Inspecting hinges, locks, and seals to maintain functionality.

Cleaning your wrought iron door properly helps maintain its beauty and durability. Here are the steps to follow:
Dust Removal: Use a soft, dry cloth or duster to remove dirt and debris.
Mild Cleaning Solution: Mix warm water with a mild dish soap and use a non-abrasive sponge or microfiber cloth to wipe down the surface.
Dry Thoroughly: After cleaning, dry the door completely with a lint-free cloth to prevent water spots or potential rusting.
Rust Prevention: In high-humidity environments, apply a protective wax or metal sealant to keep moisture out.

No, when replacing a door unit, we are unable to reuse glass due to county codes and the permitting process. However, we can recreate or source the same design for your brand-new door while ensuring all current code requirements are met.
We have hundreds of “Standard” designs to choose from. These are pre-manufactured to the standard insert sizes. You cannot change any of the options (glass choices or caming color); however, they will most often be at a lower price point than the custom inserts. We also specialize in making anything custom that you want! You can take a standard design and change the size, caming color, privacy, etc., or we can design something completely unique for you!
We use precise measuring tools and techniques during a thorough site inspection to ensure accurate measurements. This meticulous approach guarantees a perfect fit for your custom doors and glass inserts.
Non-impact glass is usually tempered glass, which, if impacted, shatters into small granules for safety reasons. Hurricane-impact laminated glass contains an interlayer that holds the glass together if broken, offering better storm protection, improved security, and noise reduction.
If you are adding glass to your existing door, you have the choice of purchasing tempered safety glass (standard) or upgrading to hurricane impact glass. While tempered safety glass has been heat-strengthened and is very durable, when something hard hits it at a high speed, it can shatter (similar to the side windows of a car). Hurricane impact glass is a laminated piece of glass with a plastic interlayer (similar to the front windshield of a car). Hurricane impact glass CAN break; however, the interlayer will keep the glass together, keeping the opening protected. Hurricane impact glass will not only offer hurricane protection, but it can also increase security from intruders and help reduce sound transmission. The standard tempered glass will usually cost less than hurricane impact glass; however, we recommend that if you do not opt for hurricane impact glass that you have some type of protection in case of a storm. (We also offer an easy-to-install shutter system called DoorShield that slides over the door in the event of a storm and does not require any pre-drilling.)
Many times, a door that may not be aesthetically pleasing will actually be structurally sound for cutting out and adding an insert. With the new glass and a fresh coat of paint, the door may look brand new, without the cost of a new door. On the other hand, there may be good reasons to consider replacing your entire door unit. Here are a few reasons you may want to consider a door replacement:
